On December 30, 2016 we lost our beloved, local Papa John’s. For 234 days we were deprived of the affordable yet delicious pizza and sides. But our wait ended August 21.
The grand opening was a huge success, but it was a bit overwhelming for the new workers. There were very long waits, and it is rumored that some people didn’t even get their pizza. This is to be expected due to the large influx of customers. The people of Ottawa love their pizza. To apologize for their performance, the new management extended the $5.99 large carryout special. According to the Papa John’s Facebook page, it was the busiest day in the Ottawa location’s history.
Papa John’s was also completely redone: new ovens, repaved parking lot, new sign, and much more. Along with the new building changes, they now deliver to Grand Ridge and Marseilles. They also have gluten free crust and a new bacon cheeseburger pizza.
Despite the long waits, the pizza is as good as ever. So, if you’ve got a hankering for some Papa John’s pizza after reading this, you can now satisfy that hankering because Papa’s in the house.
