After repetitive rounds of close, competitive matches of tug a war and volleyball after the Homecoming parade, the night was tied up with a senior girls varsity team vs senior boys volleyball game. Keeping the girls team alive in the game, senior Grace Reinhardt proved her skill by setting the ball back over the net to win the point, tying the score twenty to twenty. “There was not a lot of pressure. It was all just for fun either way,” said Reinhardt.
The girls team ended up victorious twice in the same game, having everyone in the crowd on their feet when they first won 22-20. The second time, deciding to keep the match going by playing to 25, again coming out on top with another exciting ending of 25 to 23. “It was cool that a girls team is able to play a boys team and actually win at something,” said Reinhardt . Every Pirate fan watching in the crowd can agree, with Reinhardt that, “It was a fun and unique experience.”
