Super Summer Movies

Great movies are released all the time, and this summer was no exception. This article discusses just two for each month of June and July of the many released this summer.

June was a great month for movies, with films like “The Incredibles 2” and “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?”

“The Incredibles 2” follows quite the opposite plot of the first movie, with Mr. Incredible being the one to watch over the kids while Mrs. Incredible is out saving the world. The movie received an 8.1/10 on IMDB. This is definitely a movie that I’d check out if I was a fan of the original.

“Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” is a documentary on the late Fred Rogers famous for his show “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.” The film consists of interviews with Rogers’ family and colleagues along with footage from the set of “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.” It received an 8.7/10 on IMDB. The movie is a must-see for anyone who likes wholesomeness.

July was a month with many smash hits such as, “Mission Impossible: Fallout” and “Ant-Man & The Wasp.”

“Mission Impossible: Fallout” is the latest film in the long-running franchise, starring Tom Cruise. Set two years after the last film, a group calling themselves “The Apostles” plan on obtaining three plutonium cores for nefarious purposes. Cruise’s character, Ethan, and his team plan on stopping them until it all goes wrong. The movie received an 8.2/10 on IMDB. I recommend the movie to anyone who likes action movies.

“Ant-Man & The Wasp” starts with Scott Lang trying to decide to put his priority into being a father, or helping people as Ant-Man. Before he can make his decision, he’s told of an urgent mission. He gets partnered with The Wasp to help him out and the two learn to fight together to discover secrets from their pasts. The movie received a 7.4/10 on IMDB. I recommend this to anyone who loves a good action/comedy movie.

All of the movies listed above are out on DVD and Blu-Ray and can be bought digitally online or at any store that sells movies.
