The Pirate Press Staff: 2017-2018


Aurora Bolf

Aurora Bolf was born on February 6, 2001 and she is 16 years old. She is a junior and has a sister who’s a Sophomore along with one on the way. She loves writing and reading and wants to pursue a writing career. She is not in any sports currently, but she has played football, basketball, and soccer. She loves drawing or artistry in general. She plays xbox one and one S. She is part of her local youth group and church. She has two cats Tinky and Snooky. She lives with my mother, stepfather, uncle, and sister.


Katie McGraw

Katie McGraw is in the graduating class of 2018. Entering school as a senior, she is a first year member of the Yearbook and Pirate Press Staff.  Katie participates in Varsity tennis and soccer for OHS and plays indoor soccer in the winter.  She has a job at Subway and is also a soccer referee.  Her plans after college are to attend college to study Business and Graphic Design.


Chloe Bruck

Chloe Bruck is a junior staff member of the Pirate Press. Along with journalism, Chloe is on the yearbook staff and pom squad. She is also involved in Rotary Interact club and the doChange peer mentoring program. In her free time she enjoys watching baseball, reading, dancing at Adagio, and watching The Office.


Rachel Mueller

Senior Rachel Mueller is a member of National Honors Society, Rotary, and an editor on yearbook staff. She is also a fourth-year cross country and track runner. She enjoys going on hikes with her dogs and buying them ice cream. Mueller spends her free time watching Parks and Recreation and taking naps with her cat. Mueller hopes to one day move to Colorado and be a cross country and track coach.


Joanna Coveyou

Joanna Coveyou is a creative, friendly person who puts ranch on almost everything. She loves music, poetry, and spending time with other people. Coveyou plays flute in band and is a two year member of poetry club. She may seem quiet or strange at first, but once you get to know her you’ll realize how spunky and unique she really is.


Mallory Pitstick

Mallory Pitstick is a senior at OTHS and she is a co-editor of the Pirate Press. This is her second year being a part of the paper. Along with the Pirate Press, she is involved in the LP co-op swim team, Key Club, Rotary Interact and NHS. Pitstick is excited to work alongside the other editors and staff to make an enjoyable paper.


Tricia Hanson

Tricia is a Senior here at OHS. Her extracurriculars include; Drama Club, Chemistry Club, Poetry Club, Rotary Interact, Band, and editing the Pirate Press. She spends her free time shredding on her skateboard.


Liza Buhr

Senior Liza Buhr is co-editor of the Pirate Press this year. Buhr was a part of the Pirate Press staff last year and was very excited when she was offered the position of co-editor. In addition to the paper, Buhr is also involved in Yearbook Committee, Cross Country, Rotary Interact and Student Council. Outside of school Buhr enjoys photography, eating ice cream and hanging out with her kittens. Buhr is very excited to help produce the Pirate Press this year and hopes that she can engage readers of all audiences.
