Junior Regan O’Fallon is a first year staff member for the “Pirate Press.” She enjoys playing tennis and basketball, along with being involved in various clubs such as Student Council, Yearbook, Superfans, doCHANGE, Key Club and Fine Arts Club. Outside of school, Regan spends most of her free time playing with her two dogs, catching up on sleep, satisfying her coffee addiction or going out to eat with friends. After high school, Regan plans to attend a four year university somewhere on the east coast, and she wants to pursue a career in the government.
Ashley Nona is a junior and first-time writer for anything. She likes fashion, dogs and bands. Her favorite band is Calpurnia, and her favorite dog is her own, Murphy.
Junior Marcus Gould enjoys playing soccer for Ottawa and Fortnite. He also loves listening to his favorite artists Chance the Rapper and Travis Scott. Some of his other hobbies include collecting sports jerseys and hanging out with friends. His favorite foods include cheese bread, Skittles and pineapple Fanta. When he grows older, he plans on attending Arizona State University and wants to become a sports journalist.

Lexi Sommer, senior, loves to spend her free time with her friends and family. She enjoys hiking and taking her dogs for a walk. Sommer loves to play soccer and hopes to continue playing at St. Ambrose University. One of her favorite memories is when she took a cruise through the Caribbean with her family.
Lizzy Martinez is a senior who likes to read and make art in her spare time, and she also likes to write. She wanted to join the “Pirate Press” to learn how to write in journalistic style as practice for the future. Her dream job is to be a writer and she hopes to achieve her goal.
Senior Bryce Reinmann loves to watch and stay up to date on football and basketball records. Whenever some big breaking news about sports happens, he’s always on top of it and lets other people know what’s going on. He also enjoys listening to country music because it tells a story and it’s meaningful. Reinmann enjoys going on vacations and doing adventurous things to experience and enjoy life.
Andrew Armstrong is a senior who is in Chem Club. You might know him as the quiet blonde guy with glasses who wears skinny jeans most days of the year and listens to music whenever he has the chance. He listens to most music types from Vance Joy to Cage the Elephant. Andrew plans on going to college out of state, “I hope to go somewhere in New York or California, honestly, either are good with me,” Armstrong said.
Senior Ellie Gallagher is a dog and bee lover. In her freetime, Gallagher enjoys hanging out with friends, family, dogs and playing tennis. At school, Gallagher is involved in tennis, softball, Superfans, Character Counts Club, Fine Arts Club and Rotary Interact. After high school, Gallagher plans to play tennis is college and get a degree in Social Work.
Ryan Bessett is a senior, and if you know him, you know how much he loves movies. Not only does he love them, he wishes to make them. He has already made a few videos, amateur at best, but he is happy with them.
Senior Kenzie Power loves The Lumineers, cats and grapefruit (almost) exclusively and in that order. She has been compared to Chandler Bing, the altogether awkward and sarcastic “Friends” character, more than once, and has been described as “a walking John Green novel without the romance.” Power is beyond unathletic and spends her time writing, enjoying theater, playing her flute, reading classic literature and listening to various genres of music. She can often be heard saying that she “is here for a good time, not a long time” while sipping a refreshing can of seltzer water.
Chloe Bruck is a senior co-editor of the “Pirate Press.” Along with journalism, Chloe is an editor of the yearbook and a member of the Pirate Poms. She is also involved in Rotary Interact club, the doChange peer mentoring program and ACS Chemistry Club. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and dancing at Adagio. After high school she plans to attend college and study secondary English education.
Kaitlyn Wilson is a senior. Alongside writing for the paper, Wilson is a co-editor. This year she is involved in Rotary, DoChange, Pirate Press, Student Trainers and Honor Society. In her free time you can find Wilson working, spending time with friends and family, volunteering and listening to music. After high school she plans to attend college and become an English teacher.
